Hossain Ms. Keya Sutradhar Mr. Kazi Ardan Ali ..for the petitioner Mr. Kumar Jyoti Tiwari Ms. Sarda Sha ..for the respondents It is the case of the petitioner that at the time of application for his daughter's admission at Mrinalini Ananda Pathashala (Patha Bhavana), Santiniketan in Birbhum, due to inadvertence, he applied as a "General Category" candidate. The Sub-Divisional Officer, Bolpur Sub-Division granted an OBC -B certificate in favour of the daughter of the petitioner on July 31, 2019. The said certificate was not produced before the school at the time application.

Since on the date of application, the daughter of the petitioner had an OBC-B certificate, in my view, the same should have been considered by the school when it was subsequently produced before it.

The current academic session is on the verge of completion.

In that view of this matter, WPA 946 of 2024 is disposed of with a direction upon respondent no.5 to admit the daughter of the petitioner treating her as an OBC-B candidate for the academic session 2024-2025, if any application for such admission is made. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
