Leave is granted to the learned Advocate-onrecord of the petitioners to correct the cause title. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that Ramakrishna Vivekananda Missan is a society registered under the Societies Registration Act and the society made a representation before the Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal for an approval to set up Ramakrishna Paramhansa University. Learned Counsel further submits that though the last representation was made on 19th August, 2020 but the representations are not considered till date.
Mr. Datta, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the State is present.
Heard both the parties.
The Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal is requested to consider the representations of the petitioners. The writ petitioners are directed to serve a copy of this order along with the writ petition to The Principal Secretary, Higher
Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal is requested to give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and to allow the petitioners to produce all the relevant documents at the time of hearing and, thereafter, The Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal will pass a reasoned order within four months from the date of communication of this order to him. The Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal is also requested to communicate the reasoned order to the petitioners at an earliest.
The writ petition being WPA 1219 of 2021 is accordingly disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
Since no affidavit have been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied.
Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
