It appears from the records that, petitioner obtained a motor vehicle on certain promises made to the de facto complainant.

De facto complainant is a widow.

Materials in the Case Diary suggest that petitioner was obliged to pay the equated monthly installment on vehicle

which the petitioner did not pay. Moreover, petitioner was supposed to pay certain amount to the de facto complainant which again the petitioner did not do so.

The financial company seized the vehicle. Thereafter, police re-seized in the present police case.

Complicity of the petitioner requires investigation. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 146 of 2024 is disposed of.
