Mr. Sujit Bhunia, Mr. Jagadish Ch. Haldar, ....for the petitioner Mr. Rabindra Nath Chakraborty, ...for the State The petitioner seeks the grant of family pension as the widow of a deceased Panchayat Karmi who was engaged under Kolsur Gram Panchayat, Deganga Panchayat Samiti, North 24 Parganas.

Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the petitioner's claim is presently under active consideration, and that a decision with regard to the grant of family pension shall be taken within 90 days from February 10, 2026.

Let the instructions filed by the State be taken on record.

In view of the aforesaid, I find no justification to keep the writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the concerned Panchayat authorities are directed to take appropriate steps in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 1229 of 2026 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
