Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been implicated in connection with the instant case for alleged recovery of 20.55 grams of heroin and the investigation has been concluded and charge-sheet has been submitted before the learned special court.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the chemical examiner's report reflects regarding the presence of the contraband.

Be that as it may, having considered the quantum of recovery, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner, namely, Pradip Das shall be released on bail

upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court, under NDPS Act-cum-learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, 8th Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of North 24 Parganas without the prior permission of the learned special court. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 128 of 2026 is allowed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
