Learned counsel appearing for the State, on instructions, submits that a meeting has been convened by the Pradhan of Kuli Gram Panchayat to enquire into the allegations made by the petitioners. In view of the aforesaid, this Court is not inclined to keep the writ petition pending.

The petitioners, as well as respondent no. 10, shall appear before the Pradhan, Kuli Gram Panchayat, along with all relevant documents in support of their respective cases. Upon granting an opportunity of hearing to the parties, if the Pradhan detects any unauthorised construction, he shall take

appropriate steps in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, within a period of seven days from the date of such hearing.

Accordingly, WPA 971 of 2026 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
