1. At the very outset, the learned advocate for the petitioner would seek leave to withdraw the writ petition. I, however, find that the writ petition has been filed complaining illegal construction being raised at 119/B Beliaghata Main Road presently known as Dr. Suresh Chandra Banerjee Road , P.O. and P.S. Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010.

2. Learned advocate for the municipality is, however, unable to enlighten this Court as to the steps taken by the municipality in this regard.

3. Considering the peculiar state of affairs, I direct the Executive Engineer Building Department to immediately carry out an inspection as regards the illegal construction as 119/B Beliaghata Main Road presently known as Dr. Suresh Chandra Banerjee Road, P.O. and P.S. Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010 and

WPA 1177 of 2025 file a report before the learned Registrar General of this Court within a period of two weeks from date.

4. It is made clear that if on the basis of the inspection, if any illegal construction is noted, appropriate steps shall be taken by the municipal authority in accordance with law. Alternatively, no further proceedings may be initiated.

5. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
