Ratnanko Banerjee, Senior Advocate with Mr. Ayan Bhattacharya, learned Advocate submit that the health of the petitioner viz. Prabha Surana is precarious. She is suffering from acute urinary tract infection and was admitted to SSKM hospital. Upon instruction, Mr. Banerjee further submits that his client has been released from the hospital and no proper treatment is being extended to her in custody. Learned Public Prosecutor submits report with regard to the health of the petitioner viz. Prabha Surana.

Hospital, Kolkata dated 14.07.2023 which records that the petitioner is suffering from acute urinary tract infection. Though her condition has improved but the leukocyte count is still on the higher side. Radiology and other investigation reports are awaited. She had been advised to remain in hospital for further evaluation.

We are informed subsequently she was released from the hospital on 22.07.2023.

Director, IPGMER-SSKM Hospital shall ensure evaluation of the petitioner viz. Prabha Surana by qualified consultants in the field of medicine and urology and submit report on the adjourned day with regard to her health status and necessity for institutionalized treatment. Let the matters appear on 27.07.2023 at 2:00 P.M. under the heading 'Ponzi Bail'.
