Both the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties to this contempt application are present. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the alleged contemnor has handed over a cheque bearing no.000974 dated 18th April, 2024 for Rs.7,10,000/- (Rupees seven lakh ten thousand only) drawn on ICICI Bank, College Street Branch in the name of Jayanta Kumar Basu to the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant/ respondent.

The amount of Rs.1,00,000/- already deposited at the time of filing of the appeal and Rs.10,000/- was paid

for the month of May, 2023 through a demand draft and after adjustment of the said amount, the aforesaid cheque for Rs.7,10,000/- has been paid to the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicant/respondent. 4.

In the aforesaid view of the matter, the contempt proceeding is dropped and the contempt application stands disposed of.

The connected application, being CAN 5 of 2023, also stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
