Learned advocate-on-record for the petitioner shall carry out appropriate amendment to the cause title of the contempt petition in course of the day. Learned advocate on behalf of the State produces a Memo dated June 16, 2025, whereby the Finance Department of the State Government has sanctioned the State's share of the pension payable to the petitioner.

Let a copy of the Memo be kept with the records. We direct the Municipality to take all necessary steps so that the petitioner receives the pensionary

benefits within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order to the appropriate authority in the Municipality.

No useful purpose will be served by keeping this contempt application pending.
