Perused the reasoned order dated 8th February, 2024 passed by the Assistant Engineer, Borough III, Howrah Municipal Corporation annexed with the affidavit-of-compliance filed by the Howrah Municipal Corporation.

It appears there from that the site in question was inspected thrice by two different sub engineers of the Corporation. Both the sub engineers were of the opinion that no new unauthorised construction was made by the owners at the subject premises.

The allegation of the petitioner relating to unauthorised construction could not be substantiated. In view of the above, the contempt application stands disposed of.

It will be open for the petitioner to initiate appropriate proceeding if they are aggrieved by the reasoned order that has been passed by the Assistant Engineer.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
