C.R.M. (NDPS) 131 of 2026 In Re: An application for Bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Liluah Police Station Case No.300 of 2025 dated 13.06.2025 under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985;

Sunil Mahato

Versus

The State of West Bengal Mr. Md. Wasim Akram Ms. Sabrina Parveen.

...for the petitioner.

Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury Mr. Pratik Bose.

...for the State.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that from four accused persons including the petitioner there was alleged recovery of 155 kgs. of ganja. However, the investigation has been completed, as such, further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

Having considered that the rigors of Section 37 is attracted, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS)131 of 2026 is rejected. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
