Petitioner contends he is in custody for more than a year. He submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with the murder. Accordingly, he prays for bail. 2.

Learned Advocate for State opposes the bail prayer. 3.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner had close1 association with the deceased. A witness had seen petitioner's motorcycle at the place of occurrence. Mobile tower location of the petitioner's phone also corroborates his presence near the place of occurrence. Incriminating articles were recovered from the petitioner.

Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
