1. None appears on behalf of the State and the private respondents.

2. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

3. The petitioner alleges encroachment over government land by the private respondents. A representation was filed before the Assistant Engineer, Contai Sub-Division, Public Works (Roads) Department but the same is pending consideration.

4. As it appears that, the representation of the petitioner is pending consideration for a considerable period of time, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Assistant Engineer, Contai Sub-Division, Public Works (Roads) Department being the respondent no. 6 herein to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties.

5. Steps shall be taken at the earliest, but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. A spot inspection shall be conducted upon prior notice to all the parties prior to passing a final order in the matter.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
