The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of Lal Bazar in tracing out his daughter. He had complained on 3rd December, 2021 that his daughter had been missing from 1st October, 2021. The missing girl is a major and she went to the house of her elder sister within the jurisdiction of Daulatabad Police Station.

It appears from the records that the original complaint is registered with Raninagar Police Station, Murshidabad, which is registered as FIR No. 450 of 2021 dated 8th October, 2021. It further appears that the investigation by the police comprised in tracing out call records of the missing girl's mobile number. It also appears that wide publicity has been given in all the necessary places about the missing girl.

The police curiously found call made to Singapore from the missing girl's mobile number but

no passport has yet been issued in her name. The police also subsequently found that the missing girl, had registered for COVID vaccination in Bilaspur, Chattishgarh. The police shall continue to make efforts to search out the missing girl.

This Court finds that there is no inaction on the part of the police.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
