The petitioners submitted a representation before the Director General (Planning) dated June 17, 2025 highlighting the issue that the petitioners have not been granted permission to construct on certain designated areas. The petitioners also raised an issue in the said representation that the petitioner companies are facing various challenges in restarting the construction and other activities and have

requested the Director General (Planning) to allow the petitioners, additional FAR for the land set aside as per the direction of the authorities of the WBHIDCO or to give monetory compensation to the petitioners in respect of the said land.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that no decision on such representation has been communicated to the petitioners till date. Mr. Gupta, learned advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 1 to 4 submits that the decision on the representation dated June 17, 2025 shall be communicated to the petitioners within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court.

Since a representation has been submitted by the petitioners before the authorities of WBHIDCO, such authority is duty-bound to take a decision on such representation and to communicate the same to the petitioners.

Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the claim made in the representation dated June 17, 2025, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the competent authority of WBHIDCO to consider the representation of the petitioners dated June 17, 2025 and to dispose of the same by passing

a reasoned order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the authorized representative of the writ petitioners and to communicate the reasoned order to the writ petitioners as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order along with a copy of the representation dated June 17, 2025.
