Eyewitnesses to an incident of murder placed the petitioner in the place and time of occurrence and as part of the mob assaulting to murder the person.

Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the Case Diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 166 of 2024 is disposed of.
