The affidavit suggests that the petitioner has applied for her appointment on compassionate ground before the University along with the other candidates following a notification dated July 7, 2022. The Executive Council of the university in its meeting dated March 03, 2017 resolved that under the died-in-harness category the appointments would be made in maximum 10% of the existing vacant 28 posts in the Group D categories. The petitioner along with others will be called for immediately after the formation of the Standing Committee to be made under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor. Thereafter as per recommendation of the Selection Committee appointments will be made by a resolution of the Executive Committee.

The affidavit further suggests that there has been a delay in the process due to absence of a permanent Vice Chancellor in the university.

In view of the facts disclosed by the university, I find no justification to keep this application pending. The university shall complete the selection process as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, CPAN 68 of 2023 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
