Acharyya ...for the petitioner This is an application seeking an expeditious disposal of a proceeding under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner had filed a case under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act as far back as in 2017. Yet, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. The petitioner has not even been given any interim relief. On several occasions, the other side had taken adjournments. In the interest of justice, the main proceeding should be concluded within a stipulated time.

I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and have perused the revision petition.

It appears that some delay has been occasioned

in disposing of the proceeding, especially considering the fact that the application under Section 12 of the Act was filed way back in 2017.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trial Court to conclude the proceeding as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, keeping in mind the statutory stipulations regarding expeditious conclusion of a proceeding under the said Act.

With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
