Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, there is a police complaint against the de-facto complainant in the present case relating to the death of the husband. The present police complaint was lodged to falsely implicate the petitioner. There was a delay in lodging the present police complaint.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary including the injury report of the de-facto complainant. There is an injury report of the de-facto complainant given by a government hospital stating that the de-facto complainant suffered acid attack. The de-facto complainant implicates the two petitioners in the incident.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 228 of 2023 is dismissed.
