1. The affidavit-of-service filed today be kept on record.

2. In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer, we take up the writ petition for hearing.

3. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that the writ petitioners, with the grievance that the subject plot,

being in the nature of >viti?, was erroneously recorded as a playground at the behest of the private respondent,sought for a correction of the records of rights, from which a challenge was preferred before the appellate authority, ultimately culminating in a challenge at the behest of the private respondent before the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal (for short, <Tribunal=).

4. The said challenge, bearing OA No. 728 of 2022 (LRTT), is pending before the learned Tribunal since the year 2022.

5. It is submitted that the petitioners are unnecessarily having to take the trouble of pursuing the litigation before the learned Tribunal since its inception and seek for an early disposal of the said original application.

6. As it appears from the affidavit-of-service that the private respondent (applicant before the learned Tribunal) has been duly served, there is no impediment in disposing of the present writ petition in the following terms:

7. WPLRT No. 11 of 2026 is disposed of by requesting the Second Bench of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal to dispose of OA No. 728 of 2022 (LRTT) finally within

an outer limit of six months from the date of communication of this order to the learned Tribunal.

8. Since we are apprised that the next date fixed for hearing before the learned Tribunal is August 25, 2026, in order to implement the above request, the Tribunal shall shift back the next date.

9. It is expected that the time-line given above shall be adhered to strictly.

We record further that the merits of the respective contentions of the parties have not been entered into by this Court.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties at an early date.
