No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 235 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Pukhuria Police Station FIR No. 471 of 2022 dated 10.11.2022 under Sections 156/332/353/326/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In Re : Saddam Hossain ...... petitioner Mr. Sayantan Hazra ....for the petitioner Mr. Shiladitya Banerjee ....for the State There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner in the assault on police personnel. The petitioner is said to be the principal accused. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 235 of 2023 is dismissed.
