Mr. Moniruzzaman Mr. Jahangir Badsha ...for the petitioner Dr. Madhusudan Saha Roy Mr. Debanjan Chatterjee ...for WBSEDCL The petitioner operates a submersible pump set using electricity provided by respondent no. 7. The petitioner alleges that WBSEDCL is issuing exorbitant electricity bills without taking actual meter readings. It is an admitted fact that, due to the non-payment of the alleged electricity dues, the petitioner's connection has been disconnected.

It appears that the petitioner has made a representation before the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Purba Bardhaman, seeking redress of the grievance.

In light of this, I do not find any justification for keeping this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the Regional Grievance Redressal Officer, Purba Bardhaman, to dispose of the petitioner's representation, as appearing at page 25 of the writ

petition, within one month from the date of communication of this order.

The Regional Grievance Redressal Officer shall afford an opportunity for hearing to both the petitioner and the representative of WBSEDCL in deciding the matter.

Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegations made in this writ petition shall be deemed to be denied by WBSEDCL.

Accordingly, WPA 1325 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
