Learned advocate for the petitioner submits as follows. The private respondent could not be served because he had absconded and is possibly now in Uttarpradesh. The private photographs and videographs of the petitioner are being uploaded by the private respondent. Complaints have been made to the police authorities, but no effective step has been taken. A list of phone numbers was also provided to the investigating agency, but the same was not investigated.

Learned advocate for the State relies on the report, which is taken on record and submits as follows. A thorough investigation is being conducted by the investigating officer in consultation with the Cyber Cell, Port Division, Kolkata Police. Some of the pages/portals where the objectionable items were uploaded have been blocked. If any new uploading is there, the same may be brought to the notice of the investigating agency for

taking necessary steps. However, it is denied that any list of phone numbers was provided by the petitioner. Since the said numbers have been provided in the writ petition, the investigating agency will take necessary steps in this regard.

It appears from the report filed that the investigating officer has taken steps in investigating into the alleged offences.

Let the investigation be concluded expeditiously and in accordance with law.

The petitioner shall cooperate with the said investigation.

Therefore, no further order need be passed at this stage.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
