In spite of service, none appears for the State or the school authority.

The petitioner's application for transfer on the ground of distance has been pending since December, 2025. There is an element of obscurity on the fact whether the pendency is before the school authority or the concerned District Inspector of Schools. The petitioner submits that the application has been forwarded by him to the concerned DI, which is impermissible in law. As per the procedure, the application has to be forwarded with the requisite no objection and declaration by the school authority to the DI.

In view of the aforestated, the application of the petitioner having been made to the school authority and not forwarded to the DI by the school, the school authority is directed to forward such application by May 15, 2026 to the concerned DI who will deal with the same in

accordance with law and dispose of the application by June 15, 2026.

The suspension of the UTSASHREE portal will not be an impediment for the school or the authorities to consider the application of the petitioner in an offline mode. 6.

With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the petitioner upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
