Yusuf, Ms. RupshaChakraborty ...for the State It is the case of the Petitioner that there is a vacancy in existence for the post of Muslim Marriage Registrar &Kazi in the jurisdiction of Pero Police Station, District Howrah, West Bengal. However, no appointment is made against the said post till date. It is the submission of the Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner that he is fully qualified and eligible for consideration against the said post. Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner further submits that the Petitioner has submitted a representation dated 04th December,2023 before the Respondent No. 4 for consideration of his name against the said post. The Petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition seeking consideration of his representation dated 04.12.2023.

The Respondent entered appearance and submitted that they have started the recruitment process for filling up the vacancy for the post of Muslim Marriage Registrar&Kazi in the jurisdiction of Pero Police Station, District Howrah, West Bengal and have invited applications for the same. In view thereof, the Petitioner is at liberty to apply for the said post and his application shall also be considered along with other applications as per the law.

The present Writ Petition is devoid of any merit and the same is dismissed.
