April 23, 2024 Sl. No.A 64 Court No.19 s.biswas CO 160 of 2024 Anirban Sengupta and another vs.

Bhola Sonkar Mr. Sukanta Das ... for the petitioners This court does not find any reason to interfere with the order impugned. Admittedly, the opposite party is the tenant under the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs want to evict the tenant. The person in possession and occupation of the property whatever be his status, is entitled to electricity connection. There is already an order passed by the predecessor court in this regard. The said order has been challenged, but no stay order has been awarded in favour of the petitioner/landlord.

At this juncture, this court cannot be ruthless and disallow electric connection to the opposite party especially during the summer season. Any person who is in possession of the property is entitled to live a healthy and hygienic life. Electricity is one of the essential requirements of human life which cannot be denied.

The revisional application stands dismissed accordingly.
