1. Ms. Pandey, learned advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor nos. 2 and 3 by placing before this Court a terms of settlement dated 29th February 2024 executed between the petitioner on one hand and the Statesman Limited on the other, submits that the Statesman Staff Provident Fund has already made a payment of Rs.2,00,000/- unto and in favour of the petitioner and has agreed to make further payment of Rs.2,81,066.50/- towards full and final settlement of his provident fund claim.

2. The petitioner has confirmed receipt of the said sum of Rs.2,81,066.50/- by acknowledging on a copy of the cheque dated 29th February 2024 drawn in favour of the petitioner.

3. In the light of the aforesaid development, it is submitted that the direction contained in the order dated 15th December 2022 has already been complied with.

4. None appears for the petitioner to press the contempt application.

5. Taking into consideration the documents relied on behalf of the alleged contemnors, nothing survives in the contempt application and the contempt application being CPAN 83 of 2023 is accordingly disposed of. (Raja Basu Chowdhury, J.)
