The appeal was allowed by a Coordinate Bench by an order dated December 19, 2013. The Division Bench directed the Land Acquisition Collector to pass an award within a month from the date of communication of the order to him and immediately thereafter, to issue notice under Section 12(2) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 to the persons interested. A contempt application has been taken out alleging wilful violation of the aforesaid order. Let the contempt application be listed on 14.12.2021.

Mr. Sengupta, learned Advocate appearing for the State/Contemnors submits that he is handicapped

inasmuch as he does not have the relevant papers and pleadings.

Mr. Bhattacharya, learned Advocate appearing for the appellants has offered to make available to Mr. Sengupta copies of the relevant pleadings by 08.12.2021.
