Allowed that the petitioner is in custody for about 61 days and charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court. Similarly placed three accused persons are on bail.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail, draws the attention of the Court to the injury report and the statement of the injured.

Having considered the period of detention of the present petitioner and the fact that charge-sheet has already been submitted, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner, namely, Pashimuddin shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of

whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Chanchal, Malda. If on bail, the petitioner shall not enter the jurisdiction of Chanchal Police Station except for the purposes of attending the court. Petitioner shall, till the charges are framed, meet with the Inspector-in-Charge of the concerned police station where he would be residing and after obtaining the acknowledgement of such presence once in every fortnight submit the same before the learned ACJM, Chanchal or any court in seision of the case.

Thus, CRM(M) 198 of 2026 is allowed.
