The petitioner complains that Hogalberia Police Station, KPD has handed over his sons dead body five days after his complaint, without any finding as to the cause of death.

Counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 27th January 2022 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Hogalberia Police Station, KPD addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record. A copy of the same may be furnished to the counsel for the petitioner.

It appears from the report that Surathal was conducted and post mortem was also done and a report to that effect is available with the Hogalberia Police Station, KPD. Investigation in an 'unnatural death' case is going on. It is expected that the investigation will be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 45 days from date.

The petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation as and when called.

Let a final report be submitted before the jurisdictional magistrate within a period of two months from date. A copy of the report may be made available for the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
