Heard the learned Advocates for the parties.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of eyewitnesses show petitioner had assaulted the victim resulting in grievous injury and fracture on the face.

In light of the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
