Mr. Bhattacharjya, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's minor daughter went missing from 26th May, 2020. Such fact was brought to the notice of the police authorities but no steps were initially taken. As such, the petitioner was constrained to file an application under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure and on the basis of the order passed in the same, the petitioner's complaint was registered as FIR. However, the police authorities did not conduct proper investigation and aggrieved thereby, the petitioner has approached this Court.

Mr. Bapuli, learned advocate appearing for the State respondents submits that during pendency of the present petition, the petitioner's daughter had already been recovered. She had married the respondent no.5 and is presently residing at her matrimonial house, as would be explicit from her statement, recorded under

Section 164 of the Code. Let the report, as filed, be kept on record.

Upon hearing the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and since the petitioner's daughter has already been recovered and is presently residing at her matrimonial house, no further order is required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
