Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioners places reliance on a supplementary affidavit, which is filed today with leave of court. It is pointed out, by placing reliance on the supplementary affidavit, that the initial apprehension of the petitioners was that certain allegation may be made against the petitioners under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

However, since in the meantime, such threat has been mitigated by subsequent developments, there is no further necessity to prolong the present litigation.

Accordingly, on the prayer of learned senior counsel for the petitioners on the above

ground, WPA No. 1243 of 2023 is dismissed as withdrawn.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
