1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) Petitioner participated in the selection process for being appointed as Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Petitioner qualified in written test and physical standard test but in

P a g e | 2 Detailed Medical Examination conducted on 29th November, 2025 he was declared unfit on the ground of hypertension. In Review Medical Examination conducted on 3rd December, 2025 petitioner was also declared unfit on the ground of hypertension and hypertriglyceride. 3) On perusal of Detailed Medical Examination report dated 29th November, 2025, it appears that petitioner was declared unfit on the ground of hypertension. Being aggrieved by Detailed Medical Examination report petitioner preferred review before the Review Medical Board and Review Medical Board examined the petitioner on 3rd December, 2025. While declaring the petitioner unfit Review Medical Board did several investigations including ECG and lipid profile of the petitioner.

Based on such medical investigations it was recorded in the Review Medical Report that Triglyceride level of the petitioner was 178 and he had persistent high blood pressure at the material point of time. It was also recorded that petitioner was suffering from hypertension and hypertriglyceride. As per ECG report it was also found that petitioner was suffering from Bradycardia.

4) In terms of Clause 6(1) of the Guidelines For Review Medical Examination in Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles of May, 2015 indication of any chronic disease like tuberculosis, syphilis, or other venereal disease, rheumatoid/ any type of arthritis, hypertension is a ground for rejection.

5) In Detailed Medical Examination petitioner was declared unfit on the ground of hypertension and Review Medical Board on 3rd

P a g e | 3 December, 2025 also found petitioner had hypertension. Applying clause 6(1) of said guidelines of May, 2015 petitioner was declared unfit in Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination.

6) Considering the reports of the Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination and taking note of clause 6(1) of said guidelines of May, 2015, Court does not find any anomaly in declaring the petitioner medically unfit.

7) Hence, writ petition stands dismissed.

8) There shall be, however, no order as to costs. 9) Urgent photostat certified copy of this judgment and order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
