The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Arijit Ganguly, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. The petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No. 36 of 2022 arising out of Lalgola Police Station Case No. 29 of 2022 under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act. The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he was arrested on 17.05.2022 and the investigating agency on completion of investigation submitted charge sheet on 17th July, 2022. Learned Advocate is unaware regarding the fact that charges are framed in a proceeding pending before the Learned Special Court.

However, having considered that custodial trial is in progress, the learned Special Court is directed to take steps so that within fixed interval of dates the examination of witnesses be completed. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to any of the parties. The Public Prosecutor conducting the case would make available the materials, exhibits, documents and other necessities which would be required at the stage of

examination of witnesses. All efforts must be taken for concluding the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR No. 179 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible. ( Tirthankar Ghosh, J. )
