No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 269 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Bharatpur Police Station Case No. 231 of 2022 dated 28.07.2022 under Sections 498A/325/326/307/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And In Re : Pratima Dey ...... petitioner Mr. Manas Kumar Das ....for the petitioner Mr. Debabrata Chatterjee Ms. Debjani Dasgupta ....for the State The materials in the case diary implicates the petitioner in the incident of setting on fire the victim. In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as appearing from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 269 of 2023 is dismissed.
