Petitioner contends there is no direct evidence connecting the petitioner with the crime. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. He contends trial is in progress.

We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner had motive to commit the crime. He was last seen with the victim prior to the murder. Trial is in progress.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
