Sunil Murmu, the alleged contemnor is present before this Court. He tenders apology for the delay in compliance of the Court's order.

The affidavit of compliance is taken on record. From the affidavit of compliance, it appears that the exercise to be undertaken by the gram panchayat is complete and having found unauthorized construction, the matter has been referred to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jhargram for necessary steps, in accordance with Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973.

Accordingly, the contempt proceedings are dropped and the Rule is discharged.

Contempt application is disposed of.

Needless to mention, the Court expects that the SubDivisional Officer, Jhargram shall act and proceed in accordance with law while doing the needful.
