Petitioners allege that petitioners cannot cultivate their own land and when they proceeded to cultivate they have been threatened with dire consequence(s) and in spite of informing to the police authorities, no action has been taken by them.
Learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report which reflects that Canning P.S. Case no. 35/25 dated 11th January, 2025 was registered for investigation
on the basis of information furnished by the petitioners.
Learned advocate appearing for the private respondents submits that respondent no. 9 has expired in the year 2021 and in spite of that he has been made a party. As such, accusation which has been made is only to establish dominance over the property which is the subject matter of the writ petition.
Be that as it may, police authorities have already taken steps in accordance with law as they have registered the FIR.
In view of the nature of accusation which has been made, I direct the police authorities to keep a strict vigil at the locality and to ensure that no breach of peace and tranquility takes place at the locality as also no untoward incident results because of the inimical relationship existing between the parties.
With the aforesaid observations, WPA 1389 of 2025 is disposed of.
Report so submitted be kept with the record.
Let a copy of the report without annexrues be handed over to the learned advocates
appearing for the petitioners and private respondents.
