The petitioner is a confirmed Assistant Teacher at Hitta Ghosh Para Free Primary School under Galsi Circle of Purba Bardhaman District Primary School Council. She is praying for transfer to any school under the said council on the ground that she is a surplus teacher in her present school.

The representation of the petitioner for general transfer is pending consideration before the Chairman of the said council, the respondent no. 3 herein. The said representation dated January 07, 2025 forms part of the writ petition being Annexure -P/4. The respondent no. 3 is directed to consider and dispose of the said representation in accordance with law expeditiously, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. W.P.A. 1536 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.
