1. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of a fresh electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. It appears from the Report filed by the CESC Limited that there is ample space to install another meter. It also appears from the Report that the petitioner has undertaken to construct rooms on the ground floor.

2. In view of the fact that there is an existing meter board at the said premises, WPA/1451/2026 stands disposed of by directing the respondent CESC Limited to act in accordance with law and supply electricity at the existing meter board after compliance with all necessary formalities and payment of necessary fees.

3. In case of any untoward incident arising in respect of providing such electricity connection, the CESC Limited are at liberty to take police assistance in accordance with law, if so advised. Any expense for the police authorities would be borne by the petitioner exclusively.
