The petitioner is aggrieved by the progress of investigation into FIR No. 205/2021 dated 19th November, 2021 registered by the Technocity Police Station, Bidhannagar. The grievance of the petitioner is that the accused persons have forged a power of attorney and resold the property.

The prayer for anticipatory bail of the private respondents has been declined by the Sessions Judge, Barasat. It appears that the accused persons have not cooperated in the investigation, yet and no warrant appears to have been obtained. This Court is unhappy with the progress of investigation in connection with the subject FIR despite lapse of more than two years. It is, therefore, ordered that the Technocity Police Station, Bidhannagar shall expeditiously conduct investigation into the subject FIR and complete the same mandatorily and positively within a period of two months from date. In the event of any further complaint from the petitioner of any threat or intimidation by the private respondents, Technocity Police Station shall make

appropriate enquiry and take steps accordingly. The investigation into the subject FIR shall be monitored by a senior police officer from the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.

The writ petition is disposed of There will be no order as to costs.

The petitioner shall communicate this order to the Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Police Station. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Rajasekhar Mantha, J.)
