Report submitted by the State is taken on record. Prayer for bail of the petitioner was turned down by this Court earlier on merits on May 01, 2024. The petitioner renews his payer primarily on the ground of delay in trial. It appears that the four witnesses out of twenty-three witnesses have been examined in full and cross-examination of PW-5 has not commenced.

In view of the observation made by this Court on merits on the earlier occasion and also since the petitioner is in custody for more than a year in a case where the offence being proved, mandatory punishment is life imprisonment, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application is disposed of.
