At the time of call no one appears for the Staterespondents. However Mr. Ashis Kumar Chowdhury, learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that petitioner is an approved assistant teacher in Government aided recognized high school with effect from 26th April, 2006 but for the reasons best known to the authorities she was not paid monthly salary for the period from August, 2006 to November, 2006.

In addition thereto, the notice of this Court has been drawn to page 22 of the writ petition wherefrom it appears that approach was made by the petitioner vide letter dated 18th May, 2016 to the Additional District Inspector of Schools (SE), Arambagh sub-division, District-Hooghly seeking grant of 10 years' continuous service benefit which is due with effect from July, 2016 since the petitioner completed 10 years service prior to July, 2016. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that till date no decision has been taken by the authority relating to aforesaid claims of the petitioner.

Considering the grievance raised in this writ petition this Court grants leave to the petitioner to make a representation to the concerned District Inspector of Schools (SE), Hooghly within a period of fortnight from date claiming benefits of arrear salary for the aforesaid 4 (four) months and grant of 10 year's service benefit. The concerned District Inspector of Schools being respondent no. 4 on receipt of such representation shall take decision by passing a reasoned order within a period of 12 (twelve) weeks thereafter, after granting opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or her representative as well as the representative of the school where petitioner is presently serving. The decision to be taken by the respondent no. 4 shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of 1 (one) week thereafter.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
