Petitioner approached this Court as there was no proper investigation in connection with Santraganchi P.S.

Case No.13 of dated 27.02.2023 under Sections 420/406 of the Indian Penal Code.

Mr.

Ansar Mondal, learned Additional Government Pleader has submitted a report. Report reflects that steps taken by the Investigating Officer regarding the report obtained from the BL & LRO, Bally Jagacha. There are certain issues relating to the report submitted by the BL & LRO.

Steps have been taken and, in fact, it reflects that there are five individuals in respect of whom the name has been recorded. Further, it is reflected that

there is a loan in relation to the property from Bantra Cooperative Bank. The Investigating Officer has also collected the certified copy of deed no. 5691 of 1986 of the complainant from the District Registrar, Howrah. The investigation of the case is still in progress and effective steps have been taken. However, the Investigating Officer is directed, since more than two years have passed since the initiation of the investigation, steps be taken to take the investigation to a logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time, preferably within a period of three months from this date. The petitioner would cooperate with the Investigating Officer and respond to the queries as and when called for in the meantime.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 1475 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
