Case No. 313 of 2025 dated 13.10.2025 under Sections 64(2) (m)/ 351 (2) of B.N.S. Act, pending before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chinsurah Hooghly in G.R. No. 3287 of 2025.

Banerjee ... for the petitioner Mr. Anupam Das Adhikary Mr. Saptarshi Chakraborty ... for the State (Allowed) The petitioner has been in custody for approximately 88 days. The charge sheet has already been filed by the Investigating Agency on 10.12.2025. The First Information Report (F.I.R.) lodged by the victim in the present case indicates that she was allegedly subjected to blackmail in the year 2022; however, the F.I.R. was filed only in the month of October, 2025. Since the investigation in the present case has been completed, this Court is of the view that there is no justification for keeping the petitioner in further custody. Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.

10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chinsurah, Hooghly. In view of the aforesaid, it is further directed that the petitioner shall appear before the trial Court on every date of hearing until further orders and shall not intimidate any witnesses or tamper with the evidence in any manner.

the part of the petitioner to comply with the conditions stated above shall entitle the trial Court to cancel the bail granted to the petitioner in accordance with law, without any further reference to this Court.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 332 of 2026 stands allowed. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
