The petitioner is aggrieved by the alleged inaction on the part of the Hare Street Police Station. He has moved before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) at Calcutta under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

On the direction of the CMM at Calcutta a report was submitted by the police after holding enquiry. The CMM was satisfied with the report and has dropped the proceedings.

The report of the Hare Street Police Station dated 19th November, 2022 addressed to the State Advocate is taken on record.

In view of the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the instant writ petition. Hence, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
