The petitioner, being the existing permit holder on the route from Lalbagh to Berhampore is aggrieved that in spite of adequate number of auto rickshaws already plying over the said route, the respondent authorities are inclined to issue further permits, allegedly thereby jeopardizing the livelihood of the present operators.

To that effect, they have written a letter expressing their grievance as above to the Regional Transport Authority, Murshidabad on December 10, 2024.

Upon considering the submissions of the parties and the records, the Court finds it proper to direct the respondent no. 5/The Regional Transport Authority, Murshidabad to consider the petitioner's representation as above, that is, dated December 10, 2024, after affording adequate and reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner being represented by its office bearers and other stake

holders, if any and decide thereupon by dint of a reasoned order.

Let the exercise as above be concluded by the respondent no. 5 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of copy of this order. 6.

Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents including the private respondents. 7.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition being WPA 1540 of 2025 is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
