Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2.

Service has not been completed on the United India Insurance Company Limited.

3.

The Director General of Police, West Bengal is represented.

It is informed that Special Investigation Teams (SITs) has been formed under every SP and Commissionerate in the State to look into the complaints of the Insurance Companies based on the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court dated 12th September, 2023. 5.

It is further submitted that one particular case being Kakdip Police Station Case No.32 of 2024 dated 18th February, 2024 pertaining to the complaint of the writ petitioners has already been transferred to the SIT concerned.

It is further submitted that a nodal agency at the State level is on the verge of being formed to enable the office of the DG to monitor all similar complaints from Insurance Companies.

All Insurance Companies shall file any further complaints with the concerned SIT and duly notify the nodal agency, which is to be formed.

The Insurance Companies shall coordinate with the SIT concerned and apply for transfer of any FIR pending investigation to the concerned SIT as indicated above.

In view of the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the instant writ petition.

10.

The interim order dated 6th February, 2024 shall stand confirmed.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

12.

There shall be no order as to costs.

13.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
